We are seeking an individual with strong personal drive and a desire to make a positive difference for our clients. Must be kind, creative, talented, and professional.
AN ART DIRECTOR AT PARADIGM:
- Works with the Creative Director and Account Executive to establish a project's style direction in a highly collaborative setting
- Designs the brands for their clients, including logos, websites, collateral, advertisements, social graphics, etc.
- Provides direction for photo and video shoots
- Contributes to the brainstorming process, writes headlines, comes up with campaign ideas in collaboration with a team

- Has strong verbal and written communication skills
- Is approachable, positive, and collaborative
- Loves the industry and is excited to do the work
- Is talented and has an eye for design, typography, and illustration
- Is confident in their design skills but is humble enough to take critique
- Can design for a variety of clients whose visual preferences don’t align with their own
- Is organized, can manage their own time, and be responsible for creating their own schedule
- Can produce creative, inspiring work within the allotted time and budget allowed
- Works quickly without making careless mistakes
- Is flexible and can adjust to sudden changes in the schedule
- Can meet a deadline, be responsive, punctual, and considerate of their coworkers
- Can juggle multiple projects at once at a fast pace
- Is willing to learn new things
- Takes initiative, asks questions, and does the research when they don’t know the answer
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- 3-5 years experience within a B2B and B2C marketing communications firm, full-service advertising agency, or freelance design business
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, or another creative or design-related field
- Proficient knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (Adobe XD, Premiere, and After Effects are a plus, but not required)
- Experience creating a brand and taking it from logo design to supporting collateral and website design
- Knowledge of current web /digital /social trends
- A basic understanding of user experience and how to design thoughtful, efficient, and SEO-friendly websites (No development knowledge required)
- Knowledge of print production standards
- Basic writing abilities
- Experience directing video and photo shoots is a plus
